Welcome to Danville, California.
Located in region 9.
The county is Contra Costa.
The town has over 42,000 residents living in 18.1 square miles of area.
The town was incorporated in July 1982.

Some interesting facts about Danville, California.
Cash is king in this town that is one of only few that utilized town instead of city in its name but this city is the wealthiest city or town in the San Francisco area featuring some of the finest homes in the country.

Things to do in and around Danville, California.
When Logic enters any new city we stop into either the visitor center or the historic society but in Danville there is the Museum named the Museum of the San Ramon Valley located in Danville here is the San Ramon Valley Museum. There is even a bright white one room school house and a train’s caboose. 

Car Lovers Dream
Danville has the Blackhawk Museum an automotive museum where there is automotive history perfectly restored and prominently displayed for all to enjoy. When Logic says these some 90 automobiles are perfectly restored trust me these cars some have one the most prestige’s award any car can the Concours d’Eligance held at Pebble Beach each August but you can see them here at the Blackhawk Museum not to mention the facility offers a 70,000 square foot automotive library, art museum and several other attractions in a great setting and architecturally inspired building.

Danville has a National Park Service National Historic Site his home it is the playwright Eugene O’Neill Park and here is the Eugene O’Neill Historic Site Danville.

Bicycles, skateboards, skaters and joggers even the walkers can enjoy the Iron Horse Trail a wide trail that extends through Danville from Dublin and Concord, The Iron Horse Trail got its name easy enough, it was a railroad that is no more but back in 1891 the Southern Pacific Railroad used to travel into and through Danville.

California Young Inspirations

California Country Magazine shared a great story
This is a story Logic would like to make a comment on because I read more stories then you can imagine each day but only once in a great while does a story bring to me such inspiration, believe me when I say, it takes a lot to capture my attention as you already know most stories we all read are so follow the course.

3 young woman and 2 young men
Each of the characters are from the ages of 22 to 30 and they each started out their careers wanting to be something other then what they ended up being. The places they are each at today are all in the same industry the Wine Industry in the northern California wine country.

The story is by Brandon T. Souza for California Country Magazine
Brandon went to 5 wineries and met with a young person inspiring to learn and enter the business of winemaking and his target was to find persons striving to grow the wine business through their own unique ways. Brandon’s article shares that he was targeting the Millennial Generation ages 21 to 30.

He interviewed targeted educated workers with the dream of creating or being a pivotal part of wine operation, he selected one person at the beginning of the millennial generation a girl who is 30 and a person near the end of the millennial generation a girl 22 years old. The other three were in various stages of this generation’s middle.

Subscribe to California Country Magazine even if you are not a grower this is great reading and great recipes, not to mention the inspiration the article provide us all.

What the millennial generation had to share
Each shared where they were headed before arriving to the California Wine Country from there college education levels to the social affluence of their family backgrounds and the stories were across the board different for each and the dreams they shared were as well different for each.

30 year old woman came from out of state to work as a winemaker
27 year old man took on sales for his families wine company
24 year old woman went into a wine makers marketing and wine club sales
24 year old man became a winery production assistant
22 year old woman became a communications manager

Diversity in the agricultural industry
Each came from a different past and each went into different positions at a California Winery but they are all exposed to the great California agricultural industry that might inspire others to follow siuit and there are a lot of great and fun careers in agriculture so each young person should find their roots and learn from master growers even dream a little of owning their own farm that produces something because Logic can share with you making things for others gives you a feeling like no other.

Always a standout in a group
This young man whose article segment is titled “Learning the tricks of the trade” is about a man who drives from Templeton to Paso Robles each day ands he shares he has learned “you are not just drinking something you are drinking the fruits of someone’s labor”. This young mans name is David Baird age 24 and is perhaps the most inspiring because he is the most hands on the actual products (grapes) the wine produces. Reading his story about working with the most demanding of all grapes the grapes that produce also his favorite wine the Pinot tells Logic he has my favorite career work “PASSION”.

What Logic learned about the younger generation?
I came away after reading the article in California Country titled “Grape expectations??? is that there are plenty of young people out in our vast world that are not driven to click on a computer button and call it a business. These 5 younger people are more hands on then Logic usually sees, working hard and long days getting dirty to learn and to be a part of the California agricultural industry and they selected the most glamorous of all agricultural growing types the grape growers and wine production.

Glamorous not always and so what, Logic sees this and as the article points out, a steeping stone to draw others away from the, though important other areas of career interest like environmentalist, marine biologist, sports management, marketers, upper level corporate management and computer button pushing generation and create and maintain one of California’s most important and largest industries agricultural.

What Logic believes
If you are young and you have a great education through a college this is great but there is another side of the equation missing in most young people we meet, as a computer software engineering company we meet our fair share of young persons that are truly inspiring in their own way, however we also see a look of not having a hands on (get your hands dirty) team working side to these people that would be a great equalizer of having an understanding.

Reading this California Country article about these five young persons and the out of class hand on education they are receiving by being a part of really producing something, getting their hands dirty and truly adding to the ever growing need to feed the world all while getting paid is one of the most inspiring articles we have read in a while and this approach should be seriously considered by all young persons to add to their life long resume and this education will add value to your life both personally and in any career they each ultimately end up in.

Welcome to Dana Point, California.

The county is Orange.
The city has near 36,000 residents living in and along 22.8 square miles of land area and 6.6 square miles of water area.
The city was incorporated in January 1989.
The city is in Southern California.

Some interesting facts about Dana Point, California.
Located on the Pacific Ocean in Capistrano Bay in the area known as south county Dana Point is one of only three harbors in Orange County the others being Newport Harbor see Newport Beach and Huntington Harbor see Huntington Beach. 

The Dana Point Harbor and its two Marinas and only the emediate areas to the harbor are near sea level. This flat area surrounding the 2500 boat marinas though it the harbor only in Dana Point that sits down from steep cliffs about 140 feet off of Highway 1 known locally as Pacific Coast Highway.

There is whale watching, sport fishing

The City of Ship Lanterns form a Village
Inland from the ocean is Lantern Village each street named after a different colored lantern (example Green Lantern and Blue Lantern) this is the historic area of Dana Point. The lantern names come from the ships arriving into the original natural port that is today Dana Point Harbor that announced the fares a ship was charging based on the lanterns color.

The city of Dana Point has a catchy tag line titled “Harboring the Good Life???.

Things to do in and around Dana Point, California.
Dana Point offers several of Orange Counties best surfing locations boating of course and some really great harbor activities even a beach named “Baby Beach” great for children and ocean beaches great fun for the whole family. Picnic at the Dana Point Harbor there is a great bayside park with all of the comfort amities of a class act park as well there are 23 parks in all to enjoy and the city of Dana Point offers each park at Dana Point Parks. 

Surfing at Dana Point
Surf is up in Dana Point not to mention that the city is the founding home to so much surf history, surf magazines and surfing product creators there is a good surf spot Salt Creek a sandy and long beach with walking paths and a 7 acre Bluff Park.

Doheny State Beach has some of California’s finest surfing, swimming and Logic’s personal favorite tide pool exploring as well as 1 mile of fine white sandy beaches to layout on and just does nothing, not always a bad idea.

Places to stay, eat, drink and shop
Want to shop or eat then Dana Point itself has hotels to stay at restaurants dine at and shops to shop in some located atop the harbor lines cliffs offering spectacular sunsets and Pacific Ocean views as far as the eye can see and a continuous flow of boats coming and going in and out of the marinas. A true treat this section of Orange County is so laid back and literally it has its own unique culture and style anyone will enjoy. Dana Point Harbor has 25 specialty shops and near 20 restaurants most with great harbor views.   

Like Camping
Doheny State Beach is one of Southern California’s nicest beach side camping locations nearest camping areas to Dana Point and the state of California has a great site with details for the finest camping information you could ask for at State of California Orange County State Parks and here is the Doheny State Beach Dana Point, California. 

Ocean Institute Dana Point
This is an easy place to find just look up from anywhere in the harbor and you will see the masts of the Pilgrim a reproduction of a great explorer ship as well the institute has two others the Spirit of Dana Point and the Sea Explorer but you are going to not set sail here you are more out to learn about our oceans and the oceans habitats, to learn more about the days (Saturday and Sundays only) and times visit their informative Ocean Institute.   

Capistrano Beach
South end of Dana Point on the great Pacific Ocean you are sure to find fishing, swimming and relaxation at this beach but check this out there are palm trees along the sand nearer the area where the beach sand meets the roads making for a really cool tropical island feel about it.
