Most top talent software engineers will not work for the larger corporations mostly because of the politics and secondly because of the culture, usually being to meeting and driven with too many pitchmen (distractions) within their zone, space or surroundings.

These software types are like the MacGyver (TV Series) of the software and hardware development world willing to work for their passion first money second under a small business or a business of their own.

Meet the software engineers work space
The work area will look to the outsider as very busy lots of tools and books even things like stuffed animals, cars and stuff not related to the field of engineering but nothing could be farther from the truth, these things we refer to as stuff the non related appearance are actually their creative visual aids that help the engineer stay the course of delivering the project.

That is right, you read it right HAPPY MONDAY

Look, to know an engineer you only need to look for the quietest, non eye contact person in the room and more then likely the average person would never notice them anyways, they are not talking, not loud, not doing the look at me I am here or even dressed in a fashion to be observed. 

How the software engineer interacts in public
Though a plenty of engineer would rather die then have to talk with a person on the street and though engineers are happy eating at their desk the usual ding dong and Doritos diet has to give way to some real food out in the public places known as restaurants, never for breakfast that is too early for the software engineer, rarely at night mostly during lunch there is one way we have observed they get through these public appearances and it works.

Welcome to Happy whatever day
Creatures of habit only because once the engineer has selected and found a comfort zone (restaurant location) they like the food and they like the seating layout, perhaps even enjoy the type of servers then they add this to their one of 7 day locations becoming what look like a creature of habit but really that is not the case it is this comfort in the public place they dearly cherish.

Here is the diet, day and statement of the engineer’s public engagement
Happy Monday he will say, to the greeter or server upon arrival to the establishment in the first day of a new week, it is a Mexican Restaurant that serves two or three types of dishes the engineer enjoys, never deviating from those choices. 

This process is enjoyed (Happy Tuesday through Happy Sunday) at 6 other locations through the usual work week of the engineer, that being that, the true software engineer works no less then 6 days a week and usually works 7 days a week.

Observation by Logic of the Happy Day of the week schedule
The restaurant help knows you as the happy customer and though kind to the staff of the restaurant the software engineer never actually interacts too much beyond the arrival introduction phase.

What is a true software engineer?
The true software engineer can tackle any software or hardware issue. Maintain, direct an entire server system or farm and programs the shortest codes or algorithms for the optimal performance and reliability in literally any language, superman far from it, what you are being described is a comfort zone within the software engineering world. It all comes from a true PASSION of the software development and engineering. 

The software engineer can delegate an internal or outside software development team, as well this engineer can also write specifications that will deliver the optimum results for the company.

Logic what is this about?
Why did your article writer just describe the function of a software engineer, it is because too many people call themselves a software developer or hardware engineer even an IT expert but truly the term “Software Engineer??? is more loosely used today then ever, with people building a social network or selling ad space i.e. an html programmer is a far cry from being a true software engineer, though good, to be a software engineer the requirement is to be the top in the field and diverse in the languages otherwise you are merely a software programmer. 

Thank god for the Internet
Software engineers have a bet friend and that friend’s first name is email and his second name is buy online reducing the need to interact yet still get what they are seeking from communicating to ordering things true software engineers that the development gods for these two services more then anything in their daily lives.

You will find software engineers reading forums and viewing videos from their computer but you will never find the software engineer having Internet profiles on social networks.
