Each campaign was for the same product our email-marketing-service Viper Mailer under the keywords “Email-Marketing”.
We went with Yahoo and MSN, Live or Bing
Bing.com is Logic’s favorite search engine that is heading in our opinion down the correct path to super search technologies but anyways our campaigns ran for around 3 consecutive months with a budget of a few thousand dollars per search engine per week, at a Per Click price between $9.00 and $25.00 dollar per click range.

The brief history of online advertising
Today on top of the major search engines there are so many social network or public profile sites offering more PPC then in the history of the Internet making the branding for the small business owner difficult though as we can attest not impossible to gain traction in our sales at Viper Mailer.
We realize as well there are plenty of targeted sites, geo-sites or local sites that offer advertising per (CPM) Cost Per Thousand Impressions as well as (PPC) Pay Per Click it is really difficult to manage the accountability of the fretted click fraud so prevalent in the online advertising industry.
Click Fraud whether it is by automation click farms, 3rd party site relationships or competitor deliverance it is really tough to justify buying CPM or PPC campaigns.

Also known as result based advertising could really clear the online fraud opportunity that is just a natural way mostly accepted today by online advertisers.
How the Pay Per Action Advertising system works

What this model provides is a great way to monitor the advertising campaign and for the advertiser to get creative to have the individual to take an action, this could even be a chance to win a product or service from the advertiser.
Results advertising reduces click fraud
If the incoming click to the advertiser’s website does not take the required action the click is not counted as a site visit and the advertiser is not charged for the click through.
What would become of the current PPC providers?
While this PPC approach to all advertising on the Internet is the way of the day it is in time in need of some serious adjustments and to save the major PPC providers from a reduction in income from offering these types of campaigns there is an alternative a sort of combination advertising program that would utilize both the newer result based advertising and PPC advertising.

Branding is important in all businesses, but for the larger corporations even more so, looking into market share or dominance, so while advertising itself would become more result based there would and should still be a need for the PPC advertising for branding. Here is how that could still work for advertisers.
PPC Branding Campaigns
A Pay Per Click model works for some advertisers, it can still be offered by the PPC providers if the price is reduced to a branding only status for example, like a soda company just wants their click through advertisement with no results based action required.
The soda company would pay only a few cents for this type of click through advertisement while say paying more in other PPC site locations for their Result-Based-Advertisement campaign.
