Location based services have a major flaw

Humans are creatures of habit, most do not venture and nearly all travel rarely and in fact all humans follow a daily regiment as far as where and what they do.

Most humans are boring including Logic meaning this
We live or work at two locations near or connected to one another.
So in my case I go to work each day, and like most humans I have a dining out pattern for each day of the week of very similar to this. To get my point visit our Desert Forum and go to Where to eat in the Desert, then select Taco Bell thread, that is my location on Thursday’s with my best friend Catnip. We order usually the exact same items every Thursday, does this sound close to how you live?

Location is marketing business hype
It is very important that advertisers feel they are targeting someone who might already be a loyal customer but the idea that location based check in services like the social networking businesses are now serving up and one even has as many as 2,000,000 million members checking in there is a giant unavoidable fundamental flaw.
Prove you really went there?
People read and believe what you write, share and say ok, but the driving point behind these location business models is to promote advertisement space accuracy and the Internet has one major fundamental flaw, it as the business models of most Internet businesses is advertising driven.
Logic is my name
I reside in Southern California, I am one fiction writer who has most of my forum readers believing I actually travel to locations and see things while there that are just fiction. Location serves need to make a move, one that will set that player apart from all of the others trying or vying to become the industry standard and it will involve a relatively simple check and balance system.
I do not travel much, but when I do I visit sites of the actual business and make my decisions on what to do or eat or where to stay, it is really simple since I live in a resort town named Palm Springs we see what an actual tourist does when they arrive, they go to the names of places they recognize, venturing on their own while it occurs it is a human rarity in reality.
Note to readers
We have no use for location based notification services
We are a global business, in the email-marketing service business for businesses, nonprofits and membership groups, location is not for us today or tomorrow, however most businesses or operators are location based sensitive to that spot on our earth.

A few ways to confirm actual location verses fantasy visits
Ship a barcode to each locations manager in the world, why? We then would all download a reader app confirmation that the person is actually at the location. The smart phone user in my case the HTC EVO 4G waves the phone across the sticker located near an entrance of that place in the world and then and only then can I rate the place and share my likes and dislikes as well as the fact that I was actually there.

Google tried this tactic
Similar to a trial provided to a select amount of businesses from Google a while back that has since faded along with many other trials, but we encourage trials for if not then how will we recognize success.
Scan an item in the retail store, win prizes or receive discounts, great.

GPS location confirmation
The smart phones are smart.
Ok most provide a GPS confirmation today, this confirms you are actually where you say you are, for how long or what you are spending well that will take time.
Smart enough to tell you and to share with those with access where and when you were or are at a specific location. This would allow through the touch of a button (app for that is easy enough) on the smart phone that you are confirmed to be at this location and then and yes only then can you share what you did or are doing at that location.
Understanding the usefulness of location services
I am going to use myself as the example since Logic loves Logic way too much.
I love most all humans as I am sure you do as well, but I really do not want my digital friends (generally people you or I do not really know and more then likely have not ever met) knowing my location, habits likes and dislikes, truth be shared if I may, I am not big on having family and friends that I actually do know (or earned) seeing where I am and what I am doing.

My honest advice
Humans need to create new products that can employ and be used and applied to grow the world at the pace it is growing at, sharing electronic fictional information is nice and the current social networking leader must continue adding features or humans will do what humans do best with hobbies or gadgets, they will simply move on to something else as they discover that new something.
Americans must understand this message
If not through Logic then through the reality that we live in a global economy.
