Part 1 Internet Domain Names, Launch to Riches?

Domain Name Industry Standards
This is a title that came to mind and we wanted to utilize it to represent what came out of an important Domain Name conversation recently that Logic and company had.
Logic and company have some great business connections and contacts that represent a verity of businesses from the me to, as well as specialized businesses.
There is still a lot to learn, and for us to share, what is a good domain name.
The domain name investment world is a real business and the investors in these names are some very serious upper level investors. These investors have been making great amounts of returns on their domain name investments by applying the names to several of the available domain name profit vehicles. Those vehicles are to either develop them into a product or service, sale them, or park them as advertising PPC (pay per click) web sites. Viper Logic is a serious investor with a portfolio of focused domain names that build traffic and convert into sales. Please see a partial list of our domain name holdings here Money making domain names
The industry is becoming mature but, in order to truly become an industry there is going to be a need to develop some standards.
Names with .com and quality are hard to get, bad advise on the Internet
There also still needs to be less speculation about what is a good to great domain name as in the beginning of any new industry and reflecting back just do some research on the American Auto Industry and you can see the amount of car manufacturers there were besides the three we know today like Ford, GM, and Chrysler.
All of those other niche car manufacturers had great ideas but more then likely were not visionaries when it came to looking down the road (pardon the pund) to what the world would need and want.
Making money with Domain Names
For us domain names that have any other ending a junk, and for a lot of reasons. The number one reason that a person buys a domain name with anything other then a .com is because they are one of the following types of domain name buyers.
A They bought a .anything and saved a little money.
B They were to lazy or lack creativity to come up with a good available domain name with the .com TLD (Top Level Domain) that extension after the name you buy for example MyCompany.com the .com is and extension.
C The buyer was unaware that .com is favored by the search engines.
D They did not realize that people can barely remember the URL (Uniform Resource Locator) you now the web site address yet alone to expect these people to remember any of the less popular extensions like .mobi, info, or .cc and the hundred plus others out there for us all to buy today.
These web site addresses are thrown at us all while we are talking to someone on the phone, listening to the radio, watching television or reading a paper or magazine because web site addresses are being thrown at us all everyday and everywhere we are.

Successful Companies only use .com endings
If we and a lot of other people are incorrect then please share with us the last time you saw a successful company like a fortune 500 or 1000 with anything other then a .com ending. This claim excludes some email account providers that for a brief time were using by choice the .net extension for their domain names. I bet they also own the .com extension for the same name as well though.
