Because Emeryville is attached to the San Francisco East Bay there are two marinas, one is public the other private they are named Watergate the Emeryville Marina, there is plenty to see and do while touching the waters of the great S.F. Visit the Emeryville Mudflats
What to see how salt is grown this is the place for that because there are massive slat evaporation ponds and yes there is nature here as well. Long ago during the 1970’s this was home to great artist structures.

Today though mostly covered there is a portion of this giant South Bay Street Shopping Center where you can visit a tribute to the giant Shellmound, you can see more and discover this vast seashell mound here at the site devoted to it Emeryville Shopping Center Shellmound
