Located with near 50% of its area in the Pacific Ocean as a beach community bordered between the Pacific Ocean and the County of Los Angeles this small area is also a member of the South Bay and is located at the Santa Monica Bay.

 
Road Trip
This city is also located in a very oil drilling and refining rich area of the California Shoreline, you can venture along Pacific Coast Highway known locally as Coast Highway and make your way north or south seeking different beach cities and enjoying views of the Pacific Ocean.

Below Coast Highway is a street to drive taking visitors into El Segundo closer to the waters of the Pacific Oceans edge and the street runs the length of the city, named Vista del Mar, take this drive from Imperial Highway south to Rosecrans Avenue.

Located only a few miles south of the Los Angeles International Airport and north of the Long Beach Airport access into and out of El Segundo are easier then most California Cities we share about.

Being located inside the giant natural enclave that makes up the Santa Monica Bay a stretch of the Southern California Coastline that runs from Point Dume in famous Malibu, California to the north of El Segundo and to the south to the famous Palos Verdes Peninsula followed by the important and active Port of Long Beach, surely there is plenty to enjoy, view and explore right in Los Angeles County from El Segundo to all points along and inland from this great city. 

The city is also home to major aerospace and consumer industries just blocks off of the ocean as the area is lined with high-rise buildings offering we are sure wonderful and breath taking Pacific Ocean and California Coastline views.

Things to do in and around El Segundo, California.
There is a downtown to El Segundo where you can shop dine and explore learning all things El Segundo. There three streets are Main Street between El Mariposa and West El Segundo Blvd. and Richmond Street between West Grand Avenue and West El Segundo Blvd.

Dockweiler California State Beach
Have an RV?
Stay at the only RV Park in El Segundo at the Dockweiler State Beach a 3 mile long shoreline and if you love aircraft then you are right under the takeoff pattern for Los Angeles International Airport one of the busiest airports in the world. Do not let this detour you and see Dockweiler State Beach.

Automobile Driving Museum
Located right in its relatively newer 28,000 foot building the Automobile Driving Museum is a showroom of wonderful cars over 70 of them on display for the public to view and learn about the great automobiles of years past. If you are lucky enough to be a visitor on a Sunday you might be able to catch a ride in one of these fine cars.
