The county is Orange.
The city has more then 47,000 residents living in 6.6 square miles of land area.
The city was incorporated in July 1956.
The city is in Southern California.

Some interesting facts about Cypress, California.
The original nickname for Cypress was “Waterville??? because there was so much ground water and local wells pumped water with great ease and at low depths.

The city of Cypress almost got the city name of Dairy City because local dairy farmers from now Cypress and neighboring cities of now Cerritos was to become Dairy Valley and La Palma was to become Dairyland as a way to push developers out of these three cities and let them remain as dairy farm lands.

The city is really a bedroom community but it is really very centralized in that the city is connected through the vast freeway system with the 22 Freeway, the 605 Freeway and the 91 Freeway.
