The area once named “Valley of Hearts Delight??? today it is a part of the “Silicon Valley??? in fact this city is in the heart of the Silicon Valley, the hub, with no more proof required then being the home to one of technologies most famous players and devises a lot of people enjoy Apple Computer.

The area is historically better known as the rock quarry responsible for supplying the aggregate for the construction of Shasta Dam built between 1938 and 1945 that measures 602 feet in height and 3460 feet across that was built to hold back the waters for a new lake that the dam created Lake Shasta.
Before you venture into the things to do you need to know that the way Cupertino was developed did not leave room for a downtown where visitors and locals can congregate but we found that the local De Anza College has a lot of very unique offerings for the whole family to enjoy.

There are over 150 acres of park lands to enjoy. Cupertino even has a web site devoted to sharing their vast amount of relaxing local parks here at Cupertino Parks.

A perfect style show is in store for the whole family at the Planetarium at De Anza College where you will be treated to a star light show and great themed music as well there are astronomers to share and answer questions you might have about our star system or the galaxy. Worth a stop by these people work hard at the California History Center & Foundation operating out of a building built on 1895 a colonial building on the grounds of De Anza College. Please see the building and the offerings of great California History.

This one is cool though Cupertino is not the only city we write to offer an interactive museum it is still nice to see another one please see the Euphrat Museum of Art they have fun and it is a museum as well at Cupertino Museum.

Shopping, dining and entertainment
Without a downtown none the less there are over 120 places to eat and drink from snacks to fine dining and they do have the Cupertino Square a Shopping Center so to see more at the Cupertino Square a mall in Cupertino has a great list of shopping activities.
