Culver Cities Main Street is the shortest main street in the world. Culver City is also known as “The Heart of Screenland???.

While the city once had the mailing address for Hughes Aircraft company the Hughes Aircraft Company was actually located until 1985 in Westchester. The Helms Bakery which was based in Culver City from 1931 through 1969 and delivered fresh baked goods in panel trucks throughout Southern California including to your writers home in the 1960’s.

Today an historic landmark hotel once owned by actor John Wayne called the Culver Hotel a pie shaped hotel is still very open and still places casts for motion pictures.

More history as Culver City was once home to the famous entertainment and live music location of the famous Cotton Club.
