Located in Region 7.
The County is Fresno.
The city has more then 12,000 residents living in 5.9 square miles of area.
The city was incorporated in April 1906.
The city is located in Northern California.

Some Interesting facts about Coalinga, California.
This little city got its name from coal from the nearby mountain named Mount Diablo so the city became the railroads coaling station during the steam locomotive day. The city calls their area located in a valley “The Sunny Side of the Valley”.

There is a ranch the Harris Ranch a massive cattle ranch producers of beef from cows, that features a hotel, restaurants and shops that is a good place to stay and enjoy the city of Coalinga so please visit the Harris Ranch.

A visit to the Coalinga Museum is a great way to get a feel for this sleepy city located off of the Interstate 5 Freeway and a visit to the Old Gas Station and Historical Museum is well worth the visit named the R.C. Baker Memorial Museum.
