Known as the “City of Eternal Sunshine” Coachella is after all located in the California desert in the Colorado Desert where summertime temperatures rise in the month of July to over 120 degrees. The city in California is mostly agricultural family-oriented community and is one of 9 cities located in the Coachella Valley and is the most eastern location of the valley’s 9 cities and 4+ towns, with such famous internationally known cities like Palm Springs to it’s west, Indio to it’s north and La Quinta and Indian Wells is it’s neighbors.

There are two well known highways one is a rather famous highway State Route 111 we call locally Highway 111that runs through Coachella and its nine neighboring cities a true way to explore the city of Coachella as well as all desert cities and the Interstate 10 Freeway we call I-10 that runs through the center of the valley’s 15 mile wide width.

Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival
The city is named for the annual twin events well known internationally the Coachella Music and Arts Festival with live entertainment major acts and groups that come to the California Desert and play music for several days too over 200,000 attendees and we have a site for you so see what the Coachella Festival is all about.

StageCoach California’s Country Music Festival
The annual StageCoach event follows the weekend after Coachella Fest and is designed around a country music theme that is equally enjoyable at the same famed Empire Polo Grounds in the neighboring city of Indio so to see what hot country music groups are coming to the StageCoach Country Music event in indio we have this site for you to explore. 

There is the annual Cinco de Mayo held May 05 of each year celebrating the Mexico concurred the French on May 05, 1862and though this is not a US Nationally recognized holiday it is celebrated in the Coachella Valley and one of the largest celebrations is in Coachella and it’s neighbor to the north Indio so to learn more about this event visit the Cinco de Mayo Fiesta held in Coachella Cinco de Mayo in the desert.
