The city was incorporated November 1911.

Welcome to a popular San Diego city that once sold land to anyone willing to build a home on it within 6 months of purchase and was willing to buy 5 acres minimum for 300.00 dollars per acre, of course that was in 1887. Today this popular city is home to nearly a quarter million residents and the city sits right along the South San Diego Bay and borders the country of Mexico.

Chula Vista has two Marinas in the San Diego Harbor
Lets start at the waters edge along the Pacific Ocean and along the Mexican Border and to start with the Chula Vista Harbor offers whale watching and sight seeing excursions as well there are two marinas one is the Chula Vista Yacht Club and the other is the Chula Vista marina and RV Park. There is a pool there are two parks and there is a lot to see, eat and do. See the Chula Vista Marina and see the Chula Vista Yacht Club.

The Chula Vista Nature Center is located right within the Sweetwater March National Wildlife Refuge on the San Diego Bay and is internationally recognized as a zoo and aquarium that allows you to get up close and personal to learn about plants and animals native to San Diego and wetlands and marshes.
