This tiny little city nearing the Nevada boarder is right were the State of Nevada has two bordering points connecting to California’s kink. This town was once a mining town. Mining gold from the Keystone mines that was doing really well during the California Gold Rush. The city runs along Highway 49.
It has a main street. The city has a very old brick Imperial Hotel a beautiful 2 story period building and other time period brick structures line the main street.

This is one of California truly golden cities says Heull Howser a TV personality that wonders from town to town throughout California and his shows are broadcast on the PBS Television Network. (Only televised in California sorry)

The Amador County Wine Cellar represents some very small vineyards that do not have their own wine tasting rooms allowing the Wine Cellar to represent them. There are always at least 6 wines to enjoy at the Wine Cellar. This city is near Sutter Creek and the area is wine country producing a lot of famous California wines.
