Have to been reading all about e-mail marketing?

Lately many in the media are talking up e-mail marketing
The new all the rage thing about what e-mail marketing can do for your business, nonprofit or membership group through the inclusion of social media connections has been the new way to connect with more customers then the traditional way which was to collect email addresses from customers potential or prior and members then usually one time a month stay in touch via an email offer.

I do not know about you, but as a computer software developer and engineering company the last thing I want to do when I am on my me time in a bar lounge or nightclub is to be discussing computer software issues that another customer of that club or even a friend is having, and no where in the world does this way of me time (off work) hold true then for the social networking world, a world where the typical consumer spends their me time sharing pictures from their trips or pictures of their children and discussing the latest Hollywood block buster or a clothing designer or even their favorite APP or music download.

They are supposed to be your friends and these people are not there logged in, say in Los Angeles wanting to read a post that was an e-mail marketing campaign offer that you sent out today to your list of muffler repair e-mail contacts from your Middlesex New Jersey Muffler Repair business. This is not to mention that this sharing your e-mail marketing messages on a social network is going to make you any money or bring to you any business, what more then likely is going to take place is these people who might even tolerate this type of useless information one time will eventually remove you as there contact on the social network.

All of the above social network e-mail marketing message sharing is assuming that people (your contacts, friends or followers) on a social network actually read anything that is from contacts such as the profile of a Middlesex, New Jersey Muffler Repair shop in the first place.

Actually I am not, what we feel and recommend to our clients is that they ask in a post on their social networking profiles that these people click on the link you provide in your updates or posts that takes these friends with an interest in receiving your valuable say every other week or once monthly e-mail messages to your signup box on your website, blog, or forum where they are asked to fill in their first and last name and e-mail address and maybe a few other details you want to know about these contacts that you might not already be aware of like their general age, sex or city (keep your personal questions like age and things light) and from there you are reducing the continuous postings of your e-mail messages onto your social network profiles that are sure to loose you your online friends, fans or followers.
