This is primarily a farming and agricultural city so you are going to the rodeo because if you happen to be in Brawley during the rodeo you are in for a treat here Cattle Call Rodeo. We suggest a trip to explore the Salton Sea a once in the 50’s, 60’s and early 70’s hot spot for boaters and recreational vehicles now today there is a lot wrong with the lake and our Desert Forum shares why under “What to do in the Desert”.
On a road trip
We encourage a trip up the State highway 86 and 78 the same highway you are taking to drive around the west side of the giant Salton Sea until you arrive at Highway 78 turn off turn left west we are headed just up into the hills a bit to Borrego Wells and near the Ocotillo Airport here County of San Diego Ocotillo Airport we are off to see paradise in the middle of the desert the fabulous Borrego Springs Resort even if you are not staying their you will enjoy a visit to the Borrego Springs resort and the city of Borrego Springs.
