Located in Region 7.
The County is Kern County, California.
The city has a little under 13,000 residents living in 4.8 square miles.
The city was incorporated in December 1960.
The city is in Southern California.

Some Interesting facts about Alvin, California.
The area in particular the city of Arvin is known as the worst smog in America.
Please hold on, the smog does mean you should not visit this city it would be incorrect to believe that a visit here is going to justify your exploring loss.

Arvin was the first city on America to have a federally operated labor camp. If for nothing else this is a great place in American labor history. If you are into agriculture and you want to see and share with your family about how crops are grown and to see a great variety of crops in action Arvin has carrots, potatoes, almonds, oranges, grapes, as well as cotton and grain.
There are various dairy farms to see cows and where milk and milk products come from.
