Unemployment rate might not add up
If you are breathing, then you are aware of the unemployment figures reported each week then applied with a percentage rate each month ending.
A look at the numbers
America has a current population of over 304,000,000
So when we look at 10% of the population out of work and look even deeper into whom this unemployed portion of the population is, the numbers just do not paint the economic problems for America that we might expect.
Who is really unemployed?
Lets face it the unemployed and under employed are generally (while important) not a part of the giant spending or decision making machine of America. These are generally the expendable persons that had a good though not deserved ride through an easy look the other way credit and career advancement times that have for now gone away.

While unemployment figures including that Logic predicts for the Technology sector the US Government and general retail related business for 2010 are serious they really should not be the focus of our country today.

Humans live in a world with a far greater problem
A big problem, one that is not discussed otherwise Logic would not bother writing this important article.
Unemployment is not what is shrinking the global economy
Logic the hobbyist economist has a great theory on what is concerning America’s growth and causing a generally flat economy.
American crisis is actually a global crisis
Americans have gone through the farming and mining times, the industrial age and the computer age leaving us with only one current product to keep humans busy, infrastructure updating for America and in developing nations building their first infrastructure.
Like it our not countries around the world that are the producers of our products today are mostly dependant on Americans and their habit of mass consumption.
Logic forgot the green thing
While you might be saying that look Logic you forgot the new Green Economy.
The answer would be no I have not.
It the green economy or environmental movement is included in the industrial and technology ages.
We are just merrily spinning off advancements form both of those ages, solar, new fuel types, even the electric and hybrid cars are not new, they are just refined to a new level that makes them more obtainable to the masses.
Logic-al conclusion
We are at Viper Logic hobbyist economists and we enjoy each day of tracking and predicting the numbers.
What we see in the world is more humans born everyday with less humans dying each day causing more population then there is work for, the work there will be will be paid less for each year.
While you might be saying, look the more humans that are born the more demand for products and services there should be. In theory you are correct but in reality, nothing could be further from the truth and here is why.
Quantity or Quality
Quality of humans born not quantity because with quantity over quality we have compromise humans are more willing today to settle for and obtain less of a life for them mostly due to a lack of ambition to become better educated, strive for greatness and contribute to humankind, in the best way our personal intelligence would permit.
The world and the USA
We must face the fact that there are more humans on earth then there is to be work and a quality of life for.
This is the reality of the world today.
Having unemployment at 10% reported with our estimate for America closer to 40% actual in 2010/2011 is going to be a real true game changer as to how most Americans will live a life more as an underdeveloped nation status.
We are looking at the removal of the middle class, this is inevitable, because when the masses begin to head into a direction like into gold, stocks, real estate the infrastructure of America cannot sustain this for the masses.
As the masses invest or try to earn in a direction like real estate for example, that direction like all thus far, collapses.
This collapse type heard mentality used to clear the way for the next heard moving investment, but this time Logic cannot find that investment or income direction for the masses, thus the removal of the middle class.
America is my home I love our country but we need to face the fact that our economy depends too much on the 70% of consumer spending as we are not a maker (manufacturer) of anything today, or very little today at best.
Computers are fast enough, car last longer then ever and we live longer then ever.
Logic honestly believes that as the consumer takes the coming hits or 2010 and 2011 following this current few weeks before Christmas 2009 artificial upswing in employment, earnings, forward looking forecasts, inventories and sales in general, that they, the consumers are going to go into hyper saving and hyper debt pay downs making that trusted and relied upon 70% of all spending through consumers consuming, a thing of the past.
Closing thought
American consumers in particular have paying us company onwers and developing nations greatly.
They have been entertaining and indulging themslves right into the poor house, setting themselve up for the now poor class and upper class future that America will become around 2015.
The middle class will give way to another country, which one?
Logic is not clear on that yet.
