Email Marketing Tip Direct Mail verses E-Mail

image

Why replace direct mail with email marketing
The future is now shining on electronic marketing and in fact since 2002 email marketing had began to threaten direct mail marketing and the direct mail industry began to understand email marketing appeared to be here to stay. An actual quote released back in 2007 that stated “it is clear, email marketing is here to stay for the long term and will grow in both frequency and volume.

These facts are all said without the obvious direct mail issues like cost to create, print and mail the offer verses the cost of email marketing and the also well known fact that the (ROI) Return on Investment is greater for email marketing then direct mailing regardless of targeting or not.

Comparing junk snail mail to SPAM
Junk Snail Mail
We see more and more the important mail that was once our bills and such being taken over by auto withdraw and online bill paying making the need for one to get the mail out of the mail box and having to go through it with less and less intensity, less and less because of this being the electronic age.

We also see a lack of regulation in the postal system in regards to the receiving of junk mail meaning you cannot elect to only receive certain types of general product promotion, gimmicks and offers in your mail box making the mail box less and less important looking in to the not so far off future.

SPAM Mail
The very word today sparks a hostel rebel towards the very idea of receiving one more unwanted message or offer we did not request or even wish for in our email inbox so while this is a global crisis that has been a growing problem for years the truth is it is getting harder and harder for the individual to send out bulk unsolicited emails each day.

Email Industry Rules and Regulations
This is a big part because as an industry we at Viper Gate, MSN, G-mail, yahoo mail and AOL as email account host providers, the ISP Industry like your cable company or a Verizon, AT&T and companies like us at Viper Mailer as members of the email marketing industry have developed very strict email SPAM filter systems, email sending quantity restrictors and as email marketing service providers Viper Mailer require a contact list be Opt-In and on topic before you are afforded an account to send a message through our system is greatly effecting the old gain buy or steal a list of email contacts and send them out to see what sticks, those days are coming to and end.

By By SPAM
All of the above industries and Viper Logic, Viper gate and Viper Mailer are devoted to and are very willing CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 compliers that will do all it is going to take to control the distribution of email and to kill the distribution of SPAM in the very near future.

Email marketing is Green direct mail is not
The time to go green is more discussed today and all companies regardless of their size are all conscious of the environment then ever so email marketing does present a green alternative to mailing out offers and discounts making email marketing the best affordable alternative. Email marketing also reduces the delivery of needing to send an important message by mail.

How to begin an email marketing campaign
Viper Mailer is the green choice and the delivery system is user friendly, affordable and they get more messages delivered then other email marketing services because of their white ISP relationships, Can-Spam compliance that get messages through to most any email inbox.

KooKooDoo.com What to doo

image

What is in a domain name
We would like to share a name from our inventory at Viper Names and show how it is amazing what can be in a name.

See there are three (3) general historic paths one can take to make a domain name popular and of course a domain name regardless needs to have great reason for someone to visit it more then once a true and proven challenge.

Internet Superstars
We see a name like Amazon, Ebay, Myspace and Google as household names today but it is interesting how these names got so popular. First to offer books online and with free shipping to off set the expense of buying online versus going into a book store (even though time is money either way you pay), next the first to offer online auctioning, the first social network on a large scale and finally, and finally the first to truly monetize the search engine as a payable advertising service.

How did these superstars do that
Besides being first in their field, there was word of mouth then a lot of money spent by some sent these companies into the best of the Internet times all pre blog times and except for Myspace (long term results to profit clients not proven) they all offer monetizing services and products. First comers have the great opportunity of the power of viral marketing but how about the rest of us?

3 Ways to popularize a site
1 Be first and be needed like the above companies and capitol helps after that.
2 Social marketing with blogs, videos, forums, social networks, articles to publications digital and print and lastly word of mouth.
3 Have an easy to remember or on topic (keyword) domain name that is part of a great site with over the top content and product or service offerings.

Great Domain Names
Looking at expanding on number 3 for this article only sense the others number 1 and 2 are self explanatory. Owning a domain name that is on topic (keyword) is really important for those of us that do not have the resources to be first or to push major advertising.

A great example of a domain name that we own
ManagedWebSiteHosting.com it is an on topic and explanatory domain name that breaks out what it does and what it is Managed Web Site Hosting tells the search engines and the person searching for top level web site hosting be cause Managed is what the hosting industry refers to as a fully monitored, mirrored, backed up, redundant and non shared web site hosting. Managed Web Site Hosting is a dedicated hosting 1 client and a single or multiple server configuration and a whole lot of other features and benefits.
