Disney Silver and Gold Coins

Welcome to the world of Disney
A Three Way Investment Win
Disney fans, coin collectors, and precious metal holders makes for a great investment combination, then add on the low mintage figures, and these Disney pure rare metal coins are forever set to gain value.
Rarities Mint produced only .999 pure silver and .999 pure gold coins for Disney
Awsume photo album here LOGIC goes to DISNEY
In the world today few brands have lasted the test of time as well as the Walter Disney empire that began in Anaheim, California an Orange County city in Southern California.
Location relations
The relationship between Logic your article writing provider and Disney go back to 1963, but what is really bizarre to me is where all of the Commemorative Disney coins were produced for Disney in the late 1980’s.
Anaheim Mint produces rare coins for Disney
A private mint located in northern Anaheim named Rarities Mint, that ended business in 1995 following the production of many different pure silver and gold coins for the Walt Disney Company. Like any cult operation operating today Disney destroyed Rarities Mint in my personal opinion, but that is Rarities problem because they could have just said no to the coin mintage contract with the Disney Company.
I am focusing on Disney characters for this shared report and though we have the mintage reports for Star Wars, E.T, and Star Trek we are trying to keep this neat and useful for generations to come.
![]()
The lowest produced items in modern Disney history
The rarest coins are the gold one most in 1 ounce and 1/4 and 1/10 ounce and many with less then 100 coins.
The silver coins in the 5 ounce size are the rarest for the silver line followed by the 1 ounce then the 1/4 ounce coin mintage, but the number one reason for this article and mintage figures is to share with coin collectors the unusual and rare occurrence that took place when the number of actual coins produced verses the predicted and pre-printed on most all coin certificates came in way below those printed figures.
Collectors collections are rarer then many may be aware
What is really important about the reduced mintage as coins were produced for collectors that bought say the first release coin and then the second release coin verses the coins produced nearer the end of the production making the number of completed sets say for the 7 coin set of the Disney Around The World and 1 piece set of Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs.
Where Logic worked
About 4 blocks from the Rarities Mint and both the mint and Logic’s dads aerospace company were located about 3 miles from Disneyland Anaheim.
Logic moves near Walter Disney’s home
Today Logic lives in Palm Springs California and even in this tourist destination in the Southern California Desert, I cannot get away from the Disney name, as Walter Disney owned, and the family still owns, a resort home about 3 blocks from Logic’s home in the Smoke Tree Ranch an upscale gated community.
Disney commissions rare coins from Rarities Mint
Logic began buying Disney commemorative coins from Disney in 1986 and lasting through 1991 when Logic discontinued the hobby of coin collecting in favor of opening up Viper Logic Corp in May 1993, about the time Rarities Mint stopped making coins for Disney Corp.
Actual versus Stated mintage of Disney Coins from Rarities Mint
The actual mintage from Rarities Mint and the stated mintage are not the same and few people know how many of these highly sought after pure .999 silver collector coins were actually minted and rarer yet how many sets of the coins stayed together over the years if the collectors actually completed their collections.
A real Logic-al investment holding
Logic is a holder of multiple sets of Disney Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs 11 piece coin sets in the 1 ounce and 5 ounce per coin size.
Logic is a holder of multiple sets of Disney Around the World 7 piece coin sets in the 1 ounce per coin size.
Logic holds many Fantasia, Mickey Mouse, Pinocchio (1 coin release), Mickey Yours Forever (4 coin series), Steamboat Willie (1 coin release), Mickey’s Holiday Treasure (1 coin release), Mickey’s Luck (2 coin series), Mickey 60 Years (1 coin release), Mickey’s Holiday (5 coin series) Sorcerer’s Apprentice (1 coin release), and Mickey (1 coin release).
Little known mintage information discovered by Logic
If you are fan of Disneyland and you are a coin collector, maybe you actually have some of these coins you bought while visiting one of the Disney Theme Parks, then you are going to be happy to know that Logic has answers about how many of the Silver and Gold coins were produced by Rarities Mint for Disney for each commemorative set and I am going to share the information for the first time at least as far as their being available on the Internet.
Understanding the Rarities Mint production documents
Before Logic begins to share mintage results for nearly all of the Rarities Mont production figures you must know that these documents are in writing and they came from rarities Mint itself in the form of a photo copy from an employee that had ties with my then secretary a woman named Sandy (who is deceased and was a very avid and loyal collector and fan of all things Disney, including getting me Logic involved with buying these wonderful coins for my then coin collection)
Rest in piece my dear Sandy, you are missed
Thanks to Sandy’s efforts in 1990 we can now share some production notes, however I am not privy to disclose the actual documents (call me) and I am certainly not the only person who received these figures documented, and even though the company is long gone I must protect my sources and former secretary Sandy.
Disney offers global popularity of all things Disney
Today the Disney coins are all over the globe, and we suspect many of the coins produced might even have been melted down in recent years, and finally realize that these coins nearly all were to be minted and sold to collectors one at a time to build their personal sets, but because the mint produced one coin type at a time and then offered them to the public for sale to build their sets, like say Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs the sets might have never been completed by the coin collector making a complete set of many of the various commemorative coins very rare in comparison to say, being able to just go out and buy a completed set of these already very rare commemorative coin.
Rarities Mint Stated Mintage
Stated mintage is the number of each coin that was to be produced at the time of the serialized documents that were shipped with each and every Rarities Mint coin, however the actual mintage for many coins never was met and that means many coins are rarer then most people and coin collectors were ever aware of until today.
Rarities Mint Production
Number of coins to be produced on stated on documented coin certificates and actual minted coins

Rolex King Midas Watch
![]()
Welcome to Rolex watchmaking in 1964
Exuberance in watch making and history took a hold in that year (1964) that is still discussed today, and mostly every time the price of gold is rising or in the news.
SEE THE ROLEX PHOTO GALLERY of Logic’s King Midas KING LOGIC
A watch made of 100% 18 karat white or yellow gold less the movement, sapphire crystal (first use of sapphire for a watch crystal Rolex), and a part of the double deployment bracelet.
Logic just calls the watch the 1 pounder, heavy but a very manly wristwatch.
A watch designed for the high-end well dressed man
The King Midas was well built and is a designer dress watch with a very low profile so to not snag the dress shirts cuffs that most owners would have commonly worn.
The King of Rock and Roll wore a King of another type
The Rolex King Midas model 9630 was so hot Elvis Presley received one serial number 343, as a gift following a sold out concert series in Houston, Texas in 1970.
Untrue rumors begin following a James Bond movie release
In 1974 there is yet one other Rolex King Midas fact, “007” wore one too, in the James Bond villain played by Christopher Lee in the movie Golden Gun. However the watch in the movie (we have watched it) was wearing the Cellini models that followed the original King Midas by Rolex.
In 1970 a new Rolex King Midas retailed for $2500.00 making the Midas the most expensive Rolex watch money could buy.
In 1975 a new Rolex King Midas retailed for $5500.00.
My personal thought for the increase in the price of the watch was the 1973/74 inflationary times that struck the global economies.
In 1964 the Rolex King Midas was the heaviest production watch produced by the time.
About the 9630 King Midas watch designer and the meaning
Creating by Gerald Genta, the King Midas took it’s design from ancient Greece.
The case design is based on the famous Parthenon temple in Athens.
The King Midas watch is sculptured from a single block of 18 karat yellow or white gold and weighed in between 150 and 200 grams.
Only 1000 Rolex King Midas ref: 9630 watches were produced
The original King Midas is the model 9630 t and is not to be confused with the later year Cellini model King Midas that followed that were not limited, or offered as a significant piece of Rolex History, from the Limited released serialized number of watches, to the total 18 K weight, and finally the rare packaging each came secured within. Though all Rolex watches in my opinion are wonderful pieces of history and this includes the later model Rolex King Midas’s as well.
Popular Midas created a version 2 from Rolex
Later in the years following the original King Midas Rolex began producing a simular version ref: 3850 of the famous wristwatch with serial number 1001 and higher, it too came with the 650 movement and these were also not Cellini models produced at a later date then both the ref 3960 and ref 3850.
How do you tell if you have an original ref: 3960 or the later version ref: 3850?
There are 3 things that the ref: 3850 have different then the original and are easy to decipher.
Difference Number 1
The dual concealed deployment clasp where the two ends of the watch come together and snap into place. On the ref: 3960 the bar they attach to is white metal and a solid bar in the center where these two watch ends meet. In the case of the ref: 3850 the bar when viewed from the side is shaped like a horse shoe and is not a solid piece, more then likely this was an upgrade to the version two to allow for easier adjustments to the firmness of the snapping of the two watch ends into a sucure locked in place position.
Difference Number 2
The serial number on both versions, (Beginning with an No. xxxx) located on the back of the first link in the watches continuous solid gold band will be 1001 or higher, the original ref: 3960 watches ended at 1000.
Difference Number 3
Also located on the back of both watches on the opposite side of the band and located on the first link along with the watches full serial number will be either the number 3960 or 3850.
There might be additional production differences between these two wristwatches but these 3 we are sharing today make it easy for the average watch collector to immediately identify which watch they own or are looking to acquire.
Presentation is everything
Even in 1964 when Rolex began shipping the first of the 1000 King Midas watches, the story about the heaviest gold watch made were delivered in a twin box like most Rolex watches, however for the first and only time, this watch carrier came with its own story.
Each Rolex King Midas produced was shipped in a gold and white Egyptian figures and themed box as the outer box. The enter box, the one that actually secures the watch within it, it is round and is a black and orange leather urn with an equally elaborate lid. Within the urn where the watch sits on a wrist holder to allow the watch to hold its shape the internal of the urn is covered in bright orange velvet.
Rolex left handed watch
The Rolex King Midas is a square faced watch
The King Midas Rolex was produced for a person who is left handed and is worn on the right wrist.
For watch lovers like Logic we came up with a non damaging way to make the watch a right handed persons watch by simply reversing the dial and thus wearing the watch on my left wrist.
What production number is your model 9630 Rolex King Midas?
Logic has production number No. 713.
Serial Number 3119430
How to locate the location of the number on your King Midas.
The number 1 to 1000 is located on the back of the watch on the solid gold link nearest the watch case, opposite the watch model number and serial number.
About the Rolex King Midas 650 movement
Manual winding features hours ansd minutes.
The very thin Rolex 650 movement has a total height of 1.8 mm x 20.8 mm diameter (this is extremely thin by watch movement standards)
Featuring 17 jewels.
Introduced in 1958 the movement and was not produced by Rolex but was used in the Rolex watch King Midas.
The manufacturer of the 650 movement was Rayville Blancpain and carried the model number calibre 58 and in fact Patek used the very movement under the movement number 175.
The 650 movement was later replaced in later model watches with the 651 an 18 jewel movement.
Rolex King Midas watch dimensions
Watchcase
The watch case thickness measures 3.6 mm without the watch movement cover installed and with the solid gold cover installed the overall thickness of the actual watch case measures 4.35 mm. (the thickest part for the entire watch)
The watch case is etched on the watch crown side (facing the viewer) on the left of the crown and deeply etched in the gold is the word “King” and to the right of the crown is the word “Midas”
The watch case tapers from the edge of the case nearest the area where the band is attached on each side measures at 25.3 mm and each side of the case tappers towards the center equally where they meet the crown and measures 27.8 mm (the widest part for the entire watch).
The watch case length measures 26 mm.
The watch dial is square and measures 16.5 mm x 16.5 mm, this matches the exact dimensions of the sapphire crystal.
The sapphire crystal sits flush to the watches overall thickness creating a smooth surface as well as retaining the thin sleek styling of this time piece.
Watch dial
The watch dial is symmetrical (square).
The dial finish is champagne matte.
The watch hands are are yellow gold baton.
Writing on the face of the dial:
The Rolex “Crown” figure and the word “Rolex” are the 12 o’clock position.
The word “MI” a “triangle” an “A” and a sideways “M” are written near the 6 o’clock position followed by the word “Swiss” nearest the center of the dial at the bottom.
There are no numbers or markers for the hours or minutes on the dial.
Watch Crown
The watch crown measures 3.85 mm in diameter and does not have the famous Rolex Kings Crown on it, they were manufactured blank for the King Midas.
Watchband
Wrist size maximum 7 1/2” (190.5 mm) reduces incrementally smaller to accommodate a smaller wrist of down to 6 3/4” (171.45 mm).
The watch band thickness is 3.8 mm for all links on both sides of the watch.
The watch band tappers away from the watch case towards where it connects to the double deployment bracelet on each end and the watch width at these points of contact are 15 mm.
Watch Clasp
Double Deployment Bracelet brings each side of the band together and snaps into place where there is the famous Rolex Kings Crown attached on each side of the clasp.
The wording on the clasp is “KING MIDAS BY ROLEX OF GENEVA”.

Who are we?
Founded in May 1993 by 2 best friends.
We are Viper Logic Corp. a computer software, hardware, engineering and development company that also machines precision parts from those needed for small machines to watchmaker replacement parts, and we know which tool is best for each task we complete in our own machining area, so we want to share this expert knowledge with others and this is how Micron Tools was created in April 2011.
Time is money
Buying the best tools made is the only way to produce the finest end products on time.
The above statement reminds me of the measure twice cut once procedure known in the manufacturer world since the dawn of time.
Knowledge is power
We believe that in order to sell the finest precision and most durable tools to others, you must also be an actual user of those tools, working with the very tools, trying many variations of these tools.
Our multi-generational goal
Selecting the best of the best tools and sharing with others is the only true way to know which tools are up to the test to be dependable enough allowing the tools caretaker the ability to hand down these tools for generations to come.

Best of the Best tools
We only sell the tools we use and we only use tools of the finest quality from many places around the world, places known for producing the finest, most durable, and precision tools like Germany, Switzerland, Europe, and Japan, but where most of the finest longest lasting precision tools derive from is the Untied States of America from little small machine tool makers that are never discussed in the media platforms. This near invisible awareness was how Viper Logic came the desire to build a place (Micron Tools) for tools buyers to find these small unknown manufacturers.
Price is important, and so is your time
Made in America tools once cost much more then a similar tool that might accomplish the same job or task for manufacturers, but that has changed for American Made Manufacturers of late as the rising cost of foreign labor and transportation fuel prices have steadily risen.
Worlds finest tools and supplies
We are offering only the finest tools for each of our categories, supplying tools needed for all tasks that arise in machine shops and manufacturers globally each day. We intend to provide the highest precision tools to machinist to accomplish their tasks at hand.
Tool duration of usage to replacement
We test all of the tools we offer for reliability and durability as a part of our offering integrity.
We intend to offer our customers the ability to pass these fine tools on to the next generation of manufacturers.
The Micron Tool guarantee
Visit MicronTools.com to learn about your purchases and our satisfaction guarantee, it is provided in great detail on the new web site to assure our customers that we are committed to provide the best customer service. Combining our guarantee with our expert knowledge of the tools we are offering as the finest tools on earth.

Epic Proportions in the media

When sales get tough the tough take there messages to Epic Proportions
Welcome to the world of over stating the message and under delivering the product or service
Epic Proportions defined
Utilized since 1930 when a book featuring the title “Epic Proportions”.
What this article and the meaning for use of Epic Proportions is meant to express is “huge”, “giant”, to be “more”, beyond the size or feeling a person might be expecting to succeed the expectations of that persons current image or thoughts about the product or service, issue or presentation.
Big, bigger, biggest (now what)
Movie Stars, Entertainers, Models all became Super Stars, and now Mega Stars.
What happens when expectations do not meet the marketing message
We have followed plenty of businesses that now incorporate the words “Epic Proportion” into their advertising campaigns and while these advertisers might be utilizing a pair of the hottest buzz words of late, the outcome or end result, could be anything but rewarding for the actual advertisers bottom line.
Unintended outcomes of over stated claims
The one area that might be in jeopardy is the return customer and customer referrals that many of us product producers depend on for continued business growth through repeat and referral customer experiences.

Micron Tools is a company that sales tools and supplies mostly produced in the USA and the site that launches this week of July 18, 2011 is only going to be offering the best of the best in tools and supplies for machine shops, manufacturers, and garage hobbyist.
