Antioch is one of California’s oldest towns we have. It was founded in 1850. This town tried to be an oil town but did not prove to be a profitable venture.

Wow this city has a great water park here Antioch City Parks and keeping with the water theme here there is a marina noted as the gateway to the California Delta here Antioch Marina and this marina is located right in the downtown of Antioch 1 mile off Highway 4 and L Street. There is as well a very old settlers cemetery and the reason we mention it is it reminds us of the cemeteries from the western movies.
This city is a suburb of San Francisco, California so you can make a trip to this city as well you can get to the city of Antioch by Amtrak. We think seeing and inland marina that is really a part of our agriculture watering system the California Delta is worth a visit.

The city of Angels Camp was founded in 1848 and became a gold mining town in 1850. Writer Mark Twain wrote a book based on Calaveras County named the Jumping Frog.

This city has there annual 3 day event at the end of August and the first few days of September. The event is the Paul Bunyan Days. What they do on these-days is to have and AX, Saw and Chain Saw competition. This is a good old California early history live. There is also a parade for this event. It is unique so you will enjoy this annual event in Anderson.

Anaheim is home to so much that we will do our best to bring to you all that is Anaheim. This city is the second largest city in Orange County, Santa Ana is Orange Counties number one largest city, Anaheim is the 10th largest city in California and 54th largest city in the USA.
Anaheim is the oldest first city in Orange County the OC when it was separated from Los Angeles and the original Carl’s Jr. Restaurant is located right off of the 91 Freeway and Harbor Blvd. as well Carl Karcher the founder, his wife and 12 children were raised in a house right near the original Carl’s Jr. and he and his wife lived in the house up and until his death. Orange Counties oldest sculpture is located in Anaheim at Pearson Park at 400 North Harbor Blvd. also this park is home to the creator of the Boysenberry by Rudy boysen and the Boysen Berry went on to Buena Park and Knott’s Berry Farm so as a tribute to Rudy Boysen the park has a fenced in area featuring a cactus garden mostly all original to the cactuses Rudy Boysen planted long, long ago. The Park is 19 acres of space and has a lagoon built in 1927 a large body of water you will enjoy seeing in the middle of such a busy city like Anaheim is. What you can do in and around Anaheim, California.
Anaheim is in the north center of Orange County.
You name it if Anaheim does not have it the freeway system feeding Orange County all centers around the 57 Freeway. You are within 20 minutes of John Wayne Airport, The South Coast Plaza our largest west coast mall, the Beaches of the Pacific Ocean, Knott’s Berry Farm another theme park in Buena Park just up the 5 Freeway north from Disneyland home to the original Walter Disney theme park. (Logic actually has been in the offices where the original Disney theme park was created by Walter himself, now separated by the 5 Freeway). There is design pictures and a vault where the designs were stored during the building of the now famous theme park. (not open for the publics view)

Anaheim has 1.5 square mikes of water area that means there are great parks, a river and lakes. Anaheim Lake is a great place to venture around as well as the Santa Ana River lakes where there is fishing yes but there are great places to have a picnic or explore some of the paths and trails, as you can even bring your bike and enjoy your views that way. see Anaheim Lake

Anaheim Visitor Eating Out Tip
When in Anaheim the restaurants in and around the Disney Land, and their California Adventure Park as well as the Anaheim Convention Center you should make it a better dining experience because the theme park area restaurants cater to a one time type of visitor and you should venture to unique places anyways to eat where there are more locals, so you can experience the finer foods and at the same time talk and share with locals.

The city has an original coffee shop and bowling alley built 1958 and is nearly as exact as it was built but why we are wanting you to visit the Linbrook Bowl bowling alley is not to bowl it is to enter the 50’s dinner in front and to enjoy what is claimed to be Anaheim’s best Pizza.
