Blythe is located in the Palo Verde Valley inside the Sonoran Desert known as “The City of Outdoors” and is the desert hub while on your way to major city destinations but in our ventures we like to find what is special through exploring and discovery when we visit a California city regardless of the basic consensus about any location we visit. This city rests right on the California and Arizona boarder line and is rich in agriculture and because of its location tourism. Visit the Colorado River with over 95 miles of action packed water enjoyment from boating to water skiing to personal water craft enjoyment andf the river has rentals if you are not lugging a water craft or boat along to this exciting water location
There is one wildlife preserves near Blythe.
Cibola National Wildlife Refuge is accessible from the California side of the Colorado River and features several backwater areas and several miles of historic river channels. The preserve is said to have over 240 species of birds that utilize this preserve as a refuge.
Because Blythe and you are located in the Colorado Desert which runs inside of the Sonoran Desert we are off to be rock hounds that is, right we are going to the location where the neatest rocks can be found and collected to cherish for ever. Maybe you would just like to see early indian artwork and feel the power of these petroglyphs carvings on rocks located about 50 west of Blythe a really great location to visit. There is nothing else around this location but it is really in touch with early American history and nature named the Corn Springs Petroglyphs.

Meet the Desert Forum Coachella Valley Forum
The Coachella Valley is 45 miles in length and 15 miles wide stretching from the west at the San Gorgonio Pass to the east end at the Salton Sea. The valley’s width is separated by the Interstate 10 Freeway.
The Coachella Valley is made up of these nine cities
Desert Hot Springs, Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Indian Wells, La Quinta, Coachella and Indio with four smaller but important unincorporated towns of Thousand Palms, Bermuda Dunes, Mecca and Thermal.
What makes up Coachella Valley
While the desert floor or basin is relatively flat with a continuous yet gradual change in elevation from the west end of the valley heading each towards the Salton Sea (the largest lake in California) and eventually out into Imperial County which is also the path of the White Water River that also runs the entire 45 mile length.
About our scenic mountains
The mountains are tall starting with the San Jacinto Mountains 10,834 feet the Santa Rosa Mountains Toro Peak at 8,716 feet making up the west and the south walls of the valley then the Little San Bernardino Mountains with the tallest peak in Southern California on Mount San Gorgonio at 11,499 feet to the north.
The Coachella Valley once really popular by being home to Palm Springs, California the getaway of the rich and famous today has grown and the nine cities and 4 towns are seamlessly connected to one another with a current valley population of over 400,000 residents.
The valley is a popular vacation destination with East Coast residents, State of Washington residents, Canadians tourists and people from Europe all of these arrivals into our two small and one International Airport swells the population to nearly 1,000,000 people though this is only during the top of the areas season which is January 15 through April 15 each year.

Everything a visitor or local would like to know about visiting or learn things as a resident about the Coachella Valley. With temperatures exceeding 121 degrees during the hottest month (Logic’s favorite month August) July and out natural beauty of mountain views along with 350 days of sunshine and blue skies even some of the cleanest drinking water in the USA it is a perfect place to visit and even better place to have the opportunity to live.

The County is Humboldt.
The city has a little more then 1000 residents living 0.6 square miles of area.
The city was incorporated in April 1910.
The city is located in Northern California.
Some Interesting facts about Blue Lake, California.
In search of water? we were when we discovered that the Blue Lake in Blue Lake city does not have a lake anymore in fact there used to be a lake because the city is located in the Mad River Valley and in the very early days the river used to flood overflow then created a lake in the cites lowlands but today when it is rainy season they receive less then 1 acre of water into the old blue lake.
The city and the county of Humboldt are located nearer the Oregon State line with only the smaller county of Del Norte and the city is just inland off of the northern Pacific Ocean coastline of California.
What to do in and around Blue Lake, California.
This area Blue Lake does not have a lot to offer other then a place or two to stay a Cafe however if you are looking for fish the city is considered the gateway to the Mad River Fish Hatchery located only two miles out of town.
From here there is Eureka and the Pacific Ocean in fact Eureka offers the Humboldt Bay as well there are great Victorian homes and businesses to explore.

The city was incorporated in may 1903.
The city is located in Northern California.
Some Interesting facts about Bishop, California.
Located in Inyo County the second largest county in California but with a very small population and the city is located in the Owens Valley low deepest valley in the USA so the valley and the city of Bishop sites in between the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range and the White Mountains. There is a creek Bishop Creek that water from the Sierra Nevada Mountains flows down in through the owens Valley.
The city a community of locals and passer bys is a rock climbers paradise truly so because of where it is located and all of the mountains and rock formations throughout the area.

Bishop is for the explorer into the great outdoors and it is great for fresh crisp air they offer the ability to explore, they offer hiking in the Bishop Creek Canyon featuring a dozen various hikes and hiking levels but if you are not ready for all of that walking and you can handle a but of a rough ride into the Coyote Flat for four wheel drive high clearance vehicles and (ATV’s) All Terrain Vehicles and mountain bikes even the Owens River is great fishing explore Volcanic Tablelands and a whole lot more a true adventurous experience so please read about all of their great outdoor activities here Bishop Hiking, Fishing Exploring and Mountain Climbing.
The city does have one other really unique thing to do in their city or rather from their city it is to go Motor Touring and they offer a map from the Bishop Area Chamber of Commerce at 690 North Main Street that they say have secret scenic roads and locations to venture off and explore by vehicle a neat experience indeed.
The bishop Laws Railroad Museum and Historic Site is a very early California piece of history while you are in town it features California early everything and there is an extensive collection of train equipment and trains of course.
